AWS Historical Cost
DigitalEx introduced a new capability that enables retrieval of up to 12 month's worth of historical AWS cost data, irrespective of when the cost data export was initially setup. This enhancement allows users to have the comprehensive cost visibility, enabling them to gain deeper insights and also to improve their forecasting accuracy. Furthermore, this feature greatly benefits newly onboarded AWS accounts that have not yet previously configured a Cost Usage Report (CUR) export, ensuring they can still leverage historical cost data for enhanced insights and effective planning in DigitalEx.
New Email Templates
DigitalEx introduced newly enhanced layout email templates, specifically designed to elevate the appearance and content readability of our email notifications of different purposes. With the improved layout, users can expect a seamless and engaging experience when interacting with our email notifications. Whether it's a signup confirmation welcoming new users or important alerts requiring their attention, the enhanced templates ensure that the content is presented clearly and in a visually pleasing manner.
Alert Enhancements
We have incorporated several enhancements to the existing Alert feature, with the primary focus of streamlining the user experience and ensuring consistency with other similar features in DigitalEx, such as Budget and Chargeback. These enhancements empower users to create alert rules that are not only more flexible and customizable but also capable of covering a broader range of resources and conditions for the purpose of alerting.
Recommendation Enhancements
We have incorporated several important enhancements to our Azure recommendation engine, enabling it to provide more precise recommendations for identifying idle and right-sizing opportunities related to Azure resources such as virtual machines, databases and disks. These recommendations are now based on p95 utilization metrics, which offer a more accurate representation of resource usage pattern.
By analyzing historical resource usage patterns and workload characteristics, our recommendation engine suggests actions such as terminating idle resources or right-sizing resources effectively to avoid underutilization. This helps users eliminate unnecessary expenses and achieve efficient cost management through our platform.
Documentation Enhancements
We have made several enhancements and added new contents to our documentation set to further guide our users in using the DigitalEx platform. Some of the new additions include:
- New instructions for using and integrating AWS SSO as the Identity Provider for the DigitalEx platform.
- A new set of onboarding instructions specifically designed to cater to the needs of the Private Equity (PE) clients. In this particular scenario, there are two different parties involved in the onboarding process, each with limited permission boundaries.
