Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Cost Support

DigitalEx is committed to continue enhancing and delivering features to better serve our hybrid cloud users, by adding support for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This new feature addition empowers users to gain advanced insights into Compute, Network, Block storage costs. It facilitates a more accurate cost allocation and optimization strategies, enabling users to make informed decisions for maximizing efficiency and value within their cloud infrastructure.

Savings Plan Planner BETA

We are exited to announce the SP Planner that assists in strategically selecting savings plans, providing insights into covered hours, savings, and coverage for the past six months and the upcoming twelve months. Additionally, it offers a summary of purchased saving plans and reserved instances. Currently we support AWS and Azure providers. After simulating savings plans, you can save them as a planner model for future access to all simulations. Insights on net savings, waste, and covered hours for purchased or planned savings plans, as well as RIs, are also available

Alerts for Expiring RI/SPs

A new alert configuration has been introduced for expiring RI/SPs, offering users to customize notification settings, alert timings and recipient channels. Users can select alert intervals ranging options 90, 60, 30, 14, 7 days before expiration, tailor notification channels, and designate specific recipients. This feature promotes timely response, prevents unexpected disruptions, and fosters adherence to budgetary guidelines.

Custom Report Enhancements

We've improved our custom reports by introducing static selections such as providers (e.g., AWS and Azure) and allowing users to define date ranges. Moreover, we now offer support for generating PDF reports. With static selections for providers and customizable date ranges, users can extract specific data relevant to their needs. Additionally, the support for PDF reports offers a convenient format for sharing and storing information.

Pager Duty Integration

DigitalEx has further advanced the alerting feature by adding a new integration option with PagerDuty. This enables users to receive notifications in the form of incidents about their cloud spending through the configured PagerDuty service directory. This expanded integration ensures that users can seamlessly align their workflow with their preferred alerting system, optimizing their efficiency.

Bulk Mute and Snooze Recommendations

Users will be able to choose several recommendations simultaneously and mute them all at once. Additionally, if you wish to snooze the recommendations, that can also be accomplished. Snooze will help users mute the recommendations until the set time is reached.

Other Enhancements

We've also made several other enhancements across various aspects of the platform to enhance your experience with DigitalEx. Some of these improvements include:

Cost Dashboard

  • We've enhanced our cost dashboard by adding sticky cost options, where cost settings set by the user will remain dedicated to that user, regardless of changes made by others.

  • Additionally, the new Full chart view provides users with a clear picture of data, making it easy to see trends and patterns quickly.

  • The cost table now displays the total combined from providers, services, and locations, allowing you to quickly view the total cost for the particular month.

  • Furthermore, we have added cost line item details, allowing users to view costs over the month, metrics, and resource details.

Resource Dashboard

  • The resource chart Y-axis now displays costs by default and additionally chart shows the total count of resources based on filters applied. This improvement helps users quickly understand and analyze their resource costs, enabling better resource management and cost optimization.

  • The resource summary table now displays the total combined from providers, services, and locations, allowing you to quickly view the total cost for the particular month.

Recommendations

  • We’ve added new recommendation policies related to various AWS services, such as Lambda, RDS & Redshift. These new policies provide users with more comprehensive insights and actionable recommendations for optimizing their AWS resources.

  • We've introduced an option to display RI/SP details whenever there are RI/SP resources in the recommendation table. This feature enables users to observe the utilization and commitments pertaining to their resources.

Anomalies

  • We’ve added a global filter in anomalies page to empower users to refine and group the items they wish to focus on, providing a more personalized and efficient navigation experience.

  • We've introduced a page table size option across all pages, enabling users to choose the number of line items visible per page. This simplifies navigation between pages, reducing user effort.
