Cloud Snapshot
DigitalEx introduced a new Cloud Snapshot dashboard that functions as a centralized hub, seamlessly gathering and consolidating vital metrics and data related to the utilization and spend of users' cloud infrastructure. This dashboard condenses complex data into a user-friendly and easily digestible format, enabling users to swiftly identify emerging trends and detect any anomalies within their cloud operations. It also empowers them to proactively manage their cloud resources, make cost-effective choices, and maintain a vigilant watch over their cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal efficiency and resource allocation.
Cloud Compare (Beta)
DigitalEx introduced a new Cloud Compare dashboard, which provides users with a powerful tool to compare their infrastructure costs across a multitude of dimensions. This comprehensive dashboard allows users to assess and analyze spending across various service providers, categories, average unit costs, as well as delve into the specifics of Reserved Instances/Savings Plans and average compute efficiency. Whether it's evaluating the performance of different service providers, optimizing spending categories, or fine-tuning Reserved Instances/Savings Plans for maximum savings, this feature provides the data-driven insights necessary for users to ensure optimal efficiency and resource allocation in their cloud infrastructure.
Azure Management Group Onboarding
DigitalEx now offers support for onboarding multiple Azure Subscriptions through the Azure Management Group. This new feature streamlines and simplifies the Azure Subscription onboarding process, allowing users to seamlessly onboard all of their subscriptions at once. It eliminates the need for the laborious and time-consuming process of onboarding each subscription individually, sparing users from the tedious repetitive tasks. Moreover, it ensures consistency and accuracy, as all subscriptions are brought into the fold simultaneously, minimizing the risk of oversight or error.
Cost Allocation Enhancements
We've introduced several enhancements to our Cost Allocation feature, formerly known as Chargeback. It now provides a detailed breakdown that distinguishes between shared, direct, and total costs for each cost allocation item. We've also added a preview function, allowing users to view current cost allocation data, historical records, and forecasts for specific cost allocation items. Additionally, users now have the flexibility to set custom distribution percentages for different months, enabling them to tailor their cost allocation approach to specific needs and priorities as they evolve throughout the year. Lastly, users can easily navigate to the cost page with a simple click on the cost allocation item, simplifying the exploration and management of their cost allocation data.
Metrics and Recommendation Enhancements
We've expanded metrics support to include additional Azure resources like App Service Plan, App Service, Storage Account, and SQL vCore databases. Our AWS recommendation engine has also been enhanced for better suggestions on identifying idle and right-sizing opportunities across virtual machines, databases, and disks. Furthermore, we've fine-tuned Savings page widgets to include Orphan, Idle, and Rightsize cost details, offering a more impactful view of potential savings opportunities. The RI/SP page widget now also displays waste amounts, providing valuable insights into RI/SP commitment utilization and enabling informed decisions for efficient resource management and future cost savings.
