AWS Savings Plan
It's great to announce that DigitalEx has added support for AWS Savings Plans. By being able to view the cost of Savings Plans and optimize them, you can take advantage of the cost savings and flexibility that these plans offer. With the ability to view and analyze your Savings Plan usage, you can make more informed decisions about your usage and effectively optimize your Savings Plan strategy. This can help you save money on your AWS costs and better manage your budget.
AWS Coverage (Savings Plan and RI)
DigitalEx has introduced AWS Coverage, which allows you to view the coverage and effectiveness of your Reserved Instance (RI) and Savings Plan investments. You can see the amount of usage and cost that these resources have covered, helping you understand how well they are contributing to your cost savings. By viewing the coverage provided by RIs and Savings Plans, you can gain insights into the effectiveness of these resources and make more informed decisions about your usage. This can help you optimize your resource usage and maximize your cost savings on AWS.
Budget early warning
We have added a new feature that requires the input of "Default Alert Users/Channels" which will receive alerts when:
The 100% threshold is reached based on actual spend (max. once a month).
The forecasted spend is approaching the 100% threshold (repeated weekly, until either the 100% actual threshold is reached or the end of the month is reached).
These alerts are intended to help you stay informed about your spend and take early action to avoid overshooting your budget.
Forecast in Budget history page
We have added a feature that allows users to view forecasts on the Budget history page. This helps users to understand their budget and see how it is expected to change over time. By viewing the budget forecast, users can get a sense of what to expect in terms of future costs and plan accordingly. This can help them better manage their budget and optimize their resource usage to maximize cost savings.
“Last update” info on Resources, Alerts, Budget, Cost Anomaly, and Subscription pages
The "last updated" date and time stamp displays when the data on the page was last refreshed. This can be helpful in understanding the age of the data and determining if it is current. By showing when the data was last updated, you can have confidence in the accuracy and timeliness of the information you are viewing. This can help you make more informed decisions based on the data and take appropriate action based on the most current information.
Trigger cost ingestion immediately after billing account onboarding
We have enhanced our billing account onboarding experience that automatically triggers cost ingestion as soon as a billing account is onboarded. This means that the process of importing and processing billing data will begin immediately after the billing account is set up. By initiating cost ingestion promptly after onboarding, we can ensure that the billing data is available in a timely manner and can be used to make informed decisions about resource usage and cost optimization.
Trigger asset ingestion immediately after usage account onboarding
We have enhanced our usage account onboarding experience that automatically triggers asset ingestion as soon as a usage account is onboarded. This means that the process of importing and processing asset data will begin immediately after the usage account is set up. By initiating asset ingestion promptly after onboarding, we can ensure that the asset data is available in a timely manner and can be used to make informed decisions about resource usage and optimization. By triggering asset ingestion immediately after onboarding, you will be able to view your resources on the Resources dashboard and get a better understanding of your resource usage and optimization.
