Power BI Integration
We have significantly enhanced our custom reporting capabilities by integrating Power BI into our system. Previously, users could only generate and view reports in CSV and PDF formats. With this new integration, users can now also access and analyze their reports directly within Power BI. This addition provides a more interactive and dynamic reporting experience, enabling users to leverage Power BI's advanced visualization and data manipulation tools.
Price Book
DigitalEx is committed to continually enhancing and delivering features that support our MSP/Reseller partners. Our MSP/Reseller partners can now utilize our new "Price Book" feature, where users can upload a rule book to customize billing rates across different billing groups. Pricing rules can vary widely—being global, service-specific, billing entity-specific, or location-specific. Partners can leverage “Price Book” to apply discounts, markups, or fixed rates within each respective scope. This feature enables customers to adjust pricing accurately according to the specified rules, ensuring optimal cost management and billing transparency.
Cost Variance BETA
Our new Cost Variance feature helps users understand fluctuations in their cloud costs from previous months. It offers detailed analysis across various dimensions such as providers, services, and locations, providing a comprehensive view of cost changes. Users can track historical data to identify trends and gain insights into cost increases and decreases.
SP Planner for Non VM Resources
We have expanded SP Planner to include non-VM resources, such as AWS Elastic Container Service, AWS Lambda, AWS SageMaker and Azure App Service, Functions, and Container Instances. This addition, alongside VM resources, assists users in strategically selecting savings plans by providing insights into covered hours, savings, and insights on coverage for the past six months and the upcoming twelve months. Additionally, it offers these insights along side a summary of current purchased savings plans and reserved instances.
Resource and Cost Dashboard
We've introduced a new billing entity filter that allows you to distinguish between AWS and AWS Marketplace purchases. This feature enables you to view and manage costs based on your selected billing entity, providing clearer insights into your spending.
The resource chart now supports daily intervals, helping users quickly understand and analyze their resource costs, leading to better resource management and cost optimization.
Other Enhancements
We've also made several other enhancements across the platform to improve your experience with DigitalEx. Some of these improvements include:
Coverage Dashboard
We've improved our coverage dashboard by adding RI/SP cost columns, allowing you to view the individual costs associated with each resource.
Additionally, we've added a column for potential savings, offering RI/SP native recommendations associated with each resource.
RI/SP Expiration Alert emails:
We have improved our RI/SP expiring alert system by consolidating all RI/SP expiring alerts into a single email, instead of sending separate emails.
Recommendations
We’ve added new recommendation policies related to various AWS services, such as EMR, CloudTrail and CloudWatch. These new policies provide users with more comprehensive insights and actionable recommendations for optimizing their AWS resources.
